Carol Glismann, NP
Carol Glismann, WHNP has spent most of her 30 plus years of nursing in Women’s Health. After working as a labor and delivery nurse for many years she went on to complete her Master of Nursing degree (Perinatal/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program) in 2007 from Stony Brook University. Carol maintains Board Certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing and the National Certification Corporation.
Carol is responsible for obtaining a thorough medical, social, and mental history, performing annual exams including pap smears and other health screenings, ordering labs and diagnostic imaging, management of sexually transmitted diseases, inserting IUD’s and Nexplanon, birth control counseling and family planning, discussing and treating perimenopause and menopause, interpreting results and informing patients of results. She provides prenatal and postnatal care for normal pregnancies, preconception counseling, and basic fertility work up. She provides obstetric and gynecologic care to women from adolescence to menopause.
Carol feels some of her best attribute include being a good listener, compassionate to her patients. Her goal is to provide all patients with personalized high-quality health care in a supportive setting. Carol is married and has two grown sons. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, gardening and spending time outdoors.
